Do I Have To Work Modified Duty If My Employer Offers It?

While you are receiving benefits, you are required to participate in all activities and programs designed to help you return to work. If your employer offers you a job that your health care provider approves and you choose not to accept it, you may not receive time-loss compensation. However, you are not required to accept any job that exceeds the restrictions set by your provider.

If you earn less on modified duty than you did at the time of your injury, you may be eligible for benefits to supplement your lower income. Contact your employer or third-party administrator (TPA) to find out if you are eligible for supplemental benefits.
